[seven strange things]

Everything about me is strange.
Not usual. I resist
categories
or definition.

To pick only seven things
is difficult
but I shall try.

1. The speed I read is freakishly fast.
TS frequently laments
that I read ten books
before he can read one.

2. I write so many letters that I never send.
Some I wish
I had.
Others I am glad I did not.

3. Don't ever tell me something
you don't want me to remember.
It will stay in my head forever.

4. I am vegetarian,
but sometimes
I do secretly lust for meat.
Especially in a Parisian bistro.

5. When I was seventeen
I used to wear mens aftershave
instead of perfume. I still
recall the cinnamony depths of
Chanel's Le Egoiste as I
dripped drops
on my bare wrists.

6. I have a bizarre fondness
for the London Underground.
I enjoy taking it to work.
A visit to the Transport Museum
fills me with glee.
I have a "part suspended"
magnet
on my stove.

7. I want to fall asleep
in a bookshop.

Ming-Zhu tagged me to do this - thank you MZ.
I thought I'd do it in a strange way.
If you wish, please consider yourself tagged, either on your own blog or in the comments section. And I challenge you to write it as I have - haiku(ish).

  1. I love the haiku style!

Did you have a good weekend?

Some of your strange facts are very similar for me- the bookshop one and the reading fast one.

I have also written letters that I have never sent...

    I don`t think I knew you were a vegetarian.

  2. Bordering on vegan, really! Have done it for nearly two years now.

I love your strange, Phil. Love-it.
    You soft-core vegan, you.

  4. Love this list, and love how you wrote it :)

I think you need to get Phil's Books & Juice up and running to realise your falling-asleep-in-a-bookstore dream :)
