This was inspired by something I saw on Sheena's blog, but also because I was interrupted at work twice yesterday by fire drills. I just started writing a list, as one does. It was a nice reminder of things that make me happy, and maybe things I need to make sure I have more of in my life.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read yours :)
Wow, that's quite a long list. But yeah, you're right, it's good to remind yourself of what makes you happy. I'll think about mine.
ReplyDeletefriends. a freshly made bed. fluffy doonas. green and blacks chocolate. chocolate coated raspberries. sun kissing my bare skin. smiles. laughs. cuddles. dancing with my sister. rock music. a brand new un-read book/magazine. pens.haviana's. recieving handwritten letters in the mail. vancouver. getting my roots coloured. cupcakes. anticipating holidays. planning trips. peonie roses. starbucks vanilla latte. sex-bomb bath bombs from lush. stationary. fresh journals and blank pages.making someone smile. cuddles with my cat. the tasman bridge. mt wellington. my fendi glasses. rainbows. snow. swimming. baths. all of the seasons.
ReplyDeleteYour list had a few of my favourites on it too!
Lori - I just started and kept going! I left a few things out, and had to edit it to include kookaburras (how could I forget them?). I just like list-making as a whole, it's calming but also a nice mental exercise! I hope to see yours :)
ReplyDeleteAlla - I love yours! I can't believe I forgot havianas! And snow - and Mt Wellington! :)
xx
Beautiful list. I think you're the only person who's found mine heehee it's a little secret.
ReplyDeleteBut it was by far my favourite list to make.
I bet with a little work you could fit many of these items into the "My Favourite Things" song....go on....give it a go....
ReplyDeleteYeah, I did and now I'm out of breath :P
ReplyDeletethat's such a good idea! i love making lists like that. hummus is the best! ;)

Phil sounds like you should have been born in the 1920's or 30's in a lovely English country house, perhaps fit for writing a novel in :)
This list is great, it has a few of my favurite things as well!
Samia
This is an excellent list! We could be friends.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your blog, I think we should be :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh... lists. I love lists. Lists rock.
ReplyDeleteYou have great taste. I'm not sure my list of favourite things would be quite so interesting but I might attempt one while I'm away on holiday soon.
Thanks for the comments you left for me. I could say the same about you and your blog. Very interesting and very nicely written.
I see that trouble-maker, Lori, visits you... (Hi, Lori!)
I shall be back.
