Inspired by B and Susannah, I wish for........
my right knee to get better so I can run again
a happy wedding day and married life for my sister, who gets married next month, and two dear friends who are also getting married soon
mastery of the transition from chauturanga to upward dog
a kitchen that cleans itself
my tomatoes to turn red
more time to write
courage
the day when I will hold my book in my hands
the ability to let things be
a huge financial windfall (!)
the vacuum cleaner to miraculously fix itself
snow again this coming winter
the ability to play guitar
time with my nephews
an unending supply of these and this
good things to happen to those who deserve them
What do you wish for?
Update 10/9/09: one of my tomatoes turned red this morning.
First, I didn't know your knee was bothering you! I'm so sorry! I have the same problem!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I wish for?
I wish for all these things to come true for you, my friend!
I wish for lots of money so I can buy loads of poetry books! ;)
And- I wish to publish a chapbook someday.
Oh, and congrats on your sister's wedding, sweetie.

When you find that self-cleaning kitchen make sure to blog about so we can all get one!

I wish for a job that I love and the patience to wait for it.
ReplyDelete(I'm not copying PP^^, I promise!)
ReplyDeleteRight now all I wish for is patience. And lots of it.
PS. That's a lovely list :0)
Oh, I'm definitely with you on the Hendricks front ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish for a speedy end to the construction on my street (it's supposed to go on into January??!!)
I wish for health and happiness to all. (I hope your knee gets better soon)
I wish for lots of money so that I can visit my family whenever I want. (They are spread out all over the place)
Congratulations to your sister on her upcoming wedding.
Sorry to hear your knee is still bothering you- I read your other post though and it sounds as if the core strength class was very good for it (and the pizza)
ReplyDeleteI wish for a healthy end to my pregnancy.
I wish to be better with money
I wish for calorieless chocolate
I wish for a new favourite book as there is nothing like reading something and going "that is my new favourite book" and it has been way too long.
I hope everybody elses wishes come true. Great news on the tomato! Definitely a good sign!
I wish for good health for all my loved ones. A kitchen that cleans itself would be pretty fab. xx
ReplyDeleteInteresting, you look so warm and content to me in that picture that I wonder if your life is mostly what you've been wishing for already. :) But as for me, I want my book to make a huge impact on people's ability to stay calm and focus in their work.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your lovely comments and for sharing your wishes with me! I hope they all come true for you.
ReplyDeleteChris, that did actually occur to me while I was making my wishes - my life is pretty great as it is! The only thing that would really make my life better would be more money and not having to work (!) but I think everyone feels that way! But otherwise I'm very content and very little to complain about :)
I love your list! And I love that your wishes are starting to become a reality. Writing wishes down is powerful like that...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo!! I LOVE visiting your blog - it's almost like a coffee with a friend, there's just such a warm vibe to it, and all the commentor too.
ReplyDeleteMay you get all that you wish for!!
P.S. I'll buy your book! When can we read your stories???
