Number 26 off the list!
I met up with a dear friend on Saturday morning for "breakfast" at Borough Market - we started off with coffee and a croissant, and then moved on to all the tasting! You don't really need any other food after working your way through all the stalls!
I moved to London in 2007 - why did I wait this long to go and
visit?!

Open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
I love this market. I lived in the UK for 4 years and never went...it was only when I returned for a holiday earlier this year that I discovered it. There is a comedy show at the Vinopolis on a Friday night too which is fun. It was only like 10 pounds or something, and you can enjoy nice wine and cheese while watching :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw Vinopolis while I was there - too early to go in though ;) I've been told many wonderful things about it and plan to go down on a Friday night soon!
ReplyDeleteI love this market.
ReplyDeleteIt's a perfect place to people watch & tasting's are definitely the way to go.
I didn't realise it was only open 3 days a week, I ust hve just been lucky when I've gone.
Maybe living in London wouldn't be so bad
I used to work on London Bridge and we used to go to Borough Market at lunchtimes... nom nom :D
ReplyDeleteWe had a couple of work events at Vinopolis while I was with that firm too. I'm not a big wine drinker but it's good fun!
Great. Now I'm hungry!!! I'll take a coffee and a bit of that chocolate and...
ReplyDeleteThe owl cookies are just too cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, the Owl cookies! That's it. I'm baking some! Um, Phil. I was in London for 5 days, and I did the borough markets, babe. Actually, it was divine. I wandered around on my own, in the cold eating chorizo and drinking mulled wine... miam.
