I plan to enter the ballot to see if I can get a place for the 2011 race! How amazing would that be?! It's not that I think about marathon running all the time, but it's in the back of my mind a lot. I wonder what it would be like to do one - and if I actually could.
Sunday is also the day that marks five years since I decided to get off my arse and start living the life I wanted to live, and four years since I reached my goal weight. No doubt it will be a day of celebrating, reflecting, and giving thanks for all the blessings in my life - true love and good health being just two of them!
Wishing you all a happy weekend, friends - and thanks for reading and sharing the journey with me xx
Have a wonderful weekend Ms Phil. Happy Anniversary, keep on kicking butt. XO
ReplyDeleteThanks darl! I try to kick butt as often as I can... :D
ReplyDeleteGood luck in putting in a bid for the london marathon! How exciting that would be! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh and happy early anniversary! you're quite the inspiration. :)
happy weekend!
Hi Phil,
ReplyDeleteI only found your Blog a couple of weeks ago, and love it!
I spent about an hour yesterday reading back through your earlier posts and there is no doubt you are amazing!
The post that most resonated with me was the letter from a girl with "not a lot to lose" because that is me at the moment. I lost 15kg last year, and had only 5kg to go to my goal weigh, but since about June last year have been yo-yo-ing between 3-6kg above my goal weight.
I will take your advice and start tracking absolutely everything as well as changing my excercise around a bit - so, here's to me at goal weight soon!
Sorry about the rant ;)
Happy Anniversary!
xxx
Wow five years. Your maintenance efforts are awe inspiring. I think that's harder than losing weight in the first place :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic 5 years you have had too.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!! It was lovely being at the marathon yesterday and thinking about what I might like to be doing in a years time...and in another five years! The time has gone so quickly.
ReplyDeleteWow, 5 years since you began your journey - and look where you ended up! You're such an inspiration to people like me who are just at the beginning of that same weightloss journey - here's hoping that at the end of my journey that I'll be as happy and healthy and simply radiant as you are.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments on my (baby) blog - and cheers for the hint about the fakeaways....I may just have to 'borrow' your recipe!
Well done Phil! I celebrated my 5 years recently too and look at us!! Cheers to losing weight, realising our potential and more, and having more fun :-)
