Excuse the appalling photo but I wanted to capture the fact I wore gumboots to the office today :)
Plus a whole load of knitted, fleecy, fake-fur lined armour!
London is covered in snow!
If you're over here I hope you're keeping warm.......if you're in Australia I wish I was coming over to thaw out with you :)

Aw, you look cute. Love the fact you wore gumboots to work! Enjoy the snow, and keep warm :)
ReplyDeleteHa - this photo's got spunk! Plus I love that you get excited about gumboots... it's all about the 'little' things :)
ReplyDeleteI got my wellies delievered to work so I can't get to them! Having to make do with my hiking boots instead. You lovely and toasty warm! :-)
ReplyDeleteLucky you Phil! I'm soooo jealous. I love the snow.
ReplyDeleteMy brother lives in Gosport, near Portsmouth and it's acutally snowing there too which is pretty unusual. Have fun and throw a snowball or two for me :)
P.S. Mittens or gloves?
cute
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit daggy but essential dagginess! Today I managed to walk to work in my sneakers, rather than the gumboots!
ReplyDeleteI wear gloves not mittens, because I listen to my iPod when I walk and like to still have some finger movement!
Thanks for commenting guys xx
Dad is over in London at the moment, after watching the All Blacks in Cardiff last weekend and doing business stuff in Holland. Anyway he CAN'T WAIT to get back to his home in Southern South Island NZ. He reckons winters there are much milder than what you've experienced in the last week.
ReplyDeleteI've still yet to visit but am very active with a current savings plan for a round the world trip in 4-5 years!
Hopefully things start to warm up soon, the 'British Freeze' is on the news quite a bit here in Perth!
Ah, I am an Australian (Newcastle, NSW) spending New Years Eve and early Jan in London! Better pack warm ey? xx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely pack warm Beck! :)
ReplyDeletehehe, no worries! Quick question for you Phil, what's the best (scenic?) way to get from London to Paris? Ferry or the Eurostar?
ReplyDeleteKeep warm Ms Phil. Its a winter wonderland here too.
ReplyDeleteMy friend in London wears gumboots too! Sounds very practical to me :)
ReplyDeleteBeck, I have only ever taken the Eurostar to Paris, and would definitely recommend it. It's so quick, no messing about, you're there in about 2 hours. Easy! Not sure about scenic, you see a bit of the French countryside but not much. If you have heaps of time the ferry might be fun but at this time of the year it might be too cold!!
